History

CTA was founded by a group of compassionate, professional women who previously sat on local non-profit boards but who wanted to take a more hands on approach to aiding NGOs in Darfur. Tired of feeling powerless about the Darfur crisis in Africa, this small group of women decided to form their own humanitarian organization to fund organizations with integrity, beginning with those that are making a difference in Darfur.

Diana Britt
Executive Director and Co-Founder
Social change and human rights have always been a passion for Diana. To demonstrate her commitment, she is an Executive Director and Co- founder of Care Through Action, an organization that promotes global change through local action. She is a Sales Executive at Salesforce.com and lives in Marin with her husband and two girls.

Alissa Everett
Founding Board Member
Alissa Everett is a freelance photographer and writer who seeks out humanity in the world's most troubled regions, including Iraq and Darfur.

Gina Pell
Founding Board Member
Gina Pell is currently the CEO of Splendora.com and has been an active philanthropist who sits on the board of several notable non-profit organizations, most recently Children of Shelters.

Claudia Ross
Founding Board Member
Claudia Ross is the Principal and CEO of Cross Marketing, as well as a Marketing Professor at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; She is a mother and activist concerning children's causes domestically and abroad.

Amy Parker
Founding Board Member
Amy Parker is the Executive Vice President of Splendora.com and is an avid supporter of local and national non-profits, including Guide Dogs For The Blind and the National MS Society.
